Transition Heeley/Meersbrook held a workshop on community food growing on 23rd April. The meeting was attended by around 50 people and following are audio recordings and slides from the two presentations:
UPDATE: A email list has been created for following up the discussions at the meeting and a follow-up meeting on 6th May looked at the possibility of using some land in the Moss Valley. The next meeting on the CSA project will be on the 9th June 2009.
Grow Sheffield is closely related to Transition Sheffield in vision and approach, and provides a coordinating role for visioning and supporting urban food growing for Sheffield.
Transition Sheffield has some paper copies of the Transition Handbook available for £10 but the first edition of the book has also been made avaible on a wiki site for collective updating and revisions.
Everyone is welcome including children. Food will be available and it will be a non-alcoholic event. For those who feel like continuing to socialise then The Sheaf pub is not far away.
