Transition Heeley / Meersbrook has organised a series of events for June and July.
These include the Community Supported Agriculture project, which is looking at the possibility of using some land in the Moss Valley for growing food.
A meeting on home insulation and energy security will consider how we are going to heat our homes without fossil fuels. This is a crucial issue since by 2020 the UK will be almost totally dependent on gas imports.
The Heeley-Meersbrook Local Food Initiative has a tour of the local allotments planned and also a follow up meeting about growing, harvesting and sharing locally grown food.
